Design and fabricate a baling system that could process 45 gallon steel drums from an automatic washing line at a minimum rate of two drums per minute..


  1. Designing a receiving system that could keep pace with the drum wash line conveyor.
  2. Creating a uniform bale with a minimum of 65 drums in each baler.
  3. Creating an ejection system that would enable the operator to remove the completed bale with a standard lift truck. The bale must be clear of the baling chamber so as to eliminate the possibility of the lift truck coming into contact with the baling press.
  4. Ensuring that baler panel can communicate directly with the conveyor panel to ensure the conveyor will shut down in the event that the baler went off-line.
